Program Description:
This multidisciplinary team approach to the treatment of abdominal and iliac aneurysms and occlusive disease is flourishing. Using state-of-the-art advances, physicians assess selected patients for the treatment of aneursyms by placement of a stent-graft from a remote site, usually the groin. When successful, this minimizes the need for standard major vascular surgery.
Vascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology work together to expand the usage of this technology.
