Program Description:

The Neuromuscular and ALS Center provides the evaluation, diagnosis and care of the adult patient with suspected or known neuromuscular disease, such as hereditary and acquired neuropathies, radiculopathies, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, myopathies and muscular dystrophies.

Special Services:

  • Electrodiagnostic studies (EMG, nerve conduction, repetitive nerve stim)
  • Nurse coordinator
  • Rehab therapy (PT, OT, speech and swallowing therapy, nutritionist) in conjuction with RWJ University Hospital
  • Multidisciplinary team approach
  • Ongoing clinical and drug research studies
  • ALS social worker and support group (in conjunction with ALS Association)
