The Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery Program is the only Mohs unit in central and southern New Jersey recognized by the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and the only university-based
unit in the state.

This method, developed by Dr. Fredrick Mohs, is the single most effective method of the eradication of basal and squamous cell carcinoma, with nearly a 100 percent cure rate. It is the treatment of choice for facial skin lesions and recurrent lesions elsewhere.

Many types of skin cancers can be treated in several hours, with reconstruction of the defect the same day.
