Program Description:

This Program is a regional Pediatric HIV Treatment Center supported partially by the New Jersey State Department of Health. It consists of a coordinated team of physicians, nurses, social workers and psychologists who provide a comprehensive case management approach to the patient with HIV infection that extends from the home to the outpatient department, to the hospital and home again. Referrals and services are coordinated with local visiting nursing services, early intervention programs and other community services.

The Program participates as a pediatric AIDS clinical trials unit with the National Institutes of Child Health and Human Development, and Allergy and Infectious Diseases. This participation ensures access to the latest investigational treatment, contributing to improved clinical outcomes.
