Program Description:

The Nephrology Consultation Service is a comprehensive program for the evaluation and treatment of renal failure, proteinuria, hematuria, electrolyte and acid-base disorders, kidney stones, urinary tract infection and cystic disease.

On-site facilities include complete diagnostic radiology services (including CT Scan, MRI, ultrasonographic and nuclear imaging), blood/urine chemistry, immunologic and microbiologic services, dietary and nutritional counseling, a vascular lab (including color Doppler evaluations), lithotripsy and a complete dialysis support facility, including peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy. A renal transplant program has begun and is growing rapidly.
