Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences

The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) -- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) Center for Clinical & Translational Sciences (CCTS) represents a unique collaboration of scientific innovation and vision for the advancement of medicine and patient care. The CCTS (formerly the Clinical Research Center, or CRC) is being developed as the institutional hub for translational research. The broad long-term goal for the CCTS program is to develop the CCTS as the magnet for bringing together clinical researchers, basic researchers, translational researchers, community physicians, and industry to develop novel and productive multi-disciplinary translational research projects. Moreover, the CCTS program will foster the nascent development of a new discipline of Clinical and Translational Science that will link and add breadth and depth to the formerly separate domains of clinical and translational research. Easily accessible, the Center is located at the heart of the Robert Wood Johnson University Health System for the placement of clinical trials.
